Hey

Hey. Basically... here's the thing. I don't really remember who's on here, or what's on here, or whatever. But I'm still writing, and if you guys are still here, I'll still be posting. I'm not really sure how many of you want to hear me anymore, considering... just considering a lot recently. I've been thinking, and I've decided that if none of you are going on anymore, it's kinda pointless and I'll just shut it down for everyone's sake. So if you are still on here and you're reading this, comment on it whether or not you think I should keep posting. Be honest, because I'm going to write either way. This is for you guys.

Love,
Abacus

I'm a writer. I don't plan things. They just happen.

Poll- PICK LESS!!

It has come to my attention that people have taken my "please choose as many as you want" too literally on the poll. I meant something more along the lines of, "PICK THREE OR LESS SO I DON'T HAVE A BALANCE OF 100% FOR ALL FOUR YOU PEOPLE ARE SO INDECISIVE!!!" so please, if this is you, and my obnoxious blog will allow you, revote. thank you for your time, batteries not included, and have a nice day.

You Can't Paint Over Black: Chapter 1

Darkness. My lashes separated lazily to reveal the light that I expected to be surrounded by, but instead, there was darkness. I would have thought I'd be used to it by then. But no, the sudden blackness that enclosed me mades me jump, and my bed creak. I laid still for a moment, listening for Tierney's heavy breathing across the room. It was undisturbed. Every day since she put up the curtains, I'd been surprised by the lack of light that left the room empty. I was supposed to like it. I was supposed to want it. I had asked for it. Sharing a room with my older sister was what I'd always dreamed of. But then, laying in the dark, confined between four black walls, I was starting to miss my old room.

That room was for an eight year old. Wasn't it? That's what Tierney said. That's what I said. Does this make me a baby? I hope not. Thinking about the good things made me want to cry, so I thought about the things that made it immature.

The pink walls. The purple butterfly bedding. Thousands of stuffed animals. I never really had an attachment to any of them, except for one. That one is special. That one I slept with every night since Tierney went to the hospital.

It was horrifying. Her face went pale, her breathing was shallow and rapid, I could see her shaking. I didn't understand then. Now I know why she passed out. Now I know why the ambulance came rushing, why the lights flashed and the sirens blared, why they took her away. I was alone with Daddy. He told me not to cry, that she would be better soon, that I should hold onto something to feel like I could keep it safe. So I grabbed a random toy, a brown fuzzy bunny off the shelf. What he said was right. I held that bunny closer than I had ever held anything before in my life, for days after she had come back. I knew it wasn't true, but it felt to me that as long as the bunny was with me, she would be safe. And even though she wouldn't approve of the toy, I still held the tattered doll close to my chest as I slept. My assurance was to keep the bunny safe. And maybe, just maybe, she would stay safe too.

The little bunny was most of what I had left of the room. And thinking harder, with the bunny there, I really didn't need much else. It felt like home. Yeah. This could be home.

“Sloane? Sloane! Wake up we have to go to work!” Work? Oh, yeah. Summer job.

It wasn't that I didn't like my job, in fact, I loved it. All of my friends were working there too, and the law couldn't deny us for our age because we weren't being paid. I just didn't want to leave. I had just drifted back off to sleep, accepted the dark cave that had become my bedroom, and the fact that I was more mature because of it. But I would be going to work with Tierney.

My feet hit the wooden floor with a thud and I pulled up the sheets on my bed, rushing to the closet.

“What are you in such a hurry for?” Tierney stared at me.

“I can't wait! I'm so excited to start work again!”

“Excited? You get to give people band- aids when they fall and scrape their knee. Woohoo.”

“No. I'm a medic. Medics are important. And besides this year I get to finally use my forensics!”

“Oh. Right.” She walked out of the room, lazily dragging her bag behind her.

What was she wearing? Tierney had been wearing a short blue skirt, fishnet tights, and black combat boots. Her black t-shirt had blue lettering, reading “My Chemical Romance”, and was covered by a long, flowing black vest- like accessory. Her hair was down and she wore a blue extension.

I brushed my hair, leaving it down and adding a purple extension. Running to my closet, I grabbed a purple shirt with my name written in black, my thin leather jacket, a black skirt, purple leggings and black suede boots. Looking in the mirror, I felt confident that she would approve.

Next was the messenger bag. A notebook, some pens and pencils, the newest book I was reading, a water bottle and a first aid box to add to my office. The last thing I put in was a small bottle of tablets. These were critical. Not for me, but for Tierney. Just in case.

Head Spy

Tracker

Techie

Wheels Artist

Medic

Social Engineer

Stealth Master

The head spy is the leader, the organizer, and the go-to girl. She trains each Valiant individually and as a team.

The tracker is like the lookout and bodyguard in one. She knows her enemies and always protects the Valiants.

The techie creates, repairs, and supplies gadgets for all Valiants. She is also like a secretary.

The wheels artists creates the getaway. She finds a will and a way out of a situation even if it means by foot.

The medic deals with injuries of all kinds. When someone is hurt, they see her. She also knows her fair share of forensics.

The social engineer is cute, talkative, and quick-witted. She is the undercover distraction and face of the team.

The stealth master is sneaky, small, and quiet. No job is too small for her, and she can go around almost unnoticed.

Natalia is like the big sister of the group. And to many, she truly is. These girls are her family, and she plans to guide them safely to success.

Tierney sweeter than candy. Under a shell of leather. She is tougher than nails and will do anything to keep the team, especially her sister, safe.

Although her knack for technology makes her seem like a nerd, Andie has a craving to know more about the military, since her dad left.

Charlie is quiet, but athletic. Not as strong as Tierney, but the sports and wheels will build her muscle. The Valiants encourage her in her competing.

Sloane is desperate to be just like her sister. What she doesn’t realize is that she has a personality all her own that suits Natalia’s choice for her job.

Isabella is popular beyond belief. The demand for her attention brings jealousy to her fraternal twin. She can talk her way in or out of almost anything.

Karissa loves being small, but she loves music more. She's quiet when she needs to be, but when she doesn't, she is free to belt at the top of her tiny lungs.

The first box is their full name, then their nickname, age, codename, position, position description, personality. (Just to let you all know, the age is the actress's real age, currently, and the code name is the second letter in their first name, second in their last, first in their first, first in their last, the number that they appear on this chart, then their age. If you really care I just thought it was fun :))

You Can't Paint Over Black

This is my new story!!! :) I'm so excited it took me like one night to find a new idea that's a record. So some of you and maybe even all of you may recognize some of the characters though they all have new names now, but the story line is similar to "Meet You in the Middle" which had a plot including young girl spies... But this version is new and improved and will be more interesting :)
Each character is represented by a Disney or Nickelodeon star. It is called "You Can't Paint Over Black" because the main character, Sloane Flynn, played by Ryan Newman (unofficially, of course) wants to be just like her older sister in every way. Her older sister, Tierney, played by Elizabeth Gillies, is a bit of a punk rocker, so the walls in her room are painted black. Sloane moves out of her bedroom and into Tierney's, a desperate plead to feel mature. The only problem is, she's struggling to find her real self. Her amazing group of friends at her summer job are supporting her in every way and trying to show her the way.
The summer job she has is as a Medic in a secret team of young female spies, known as the Valiants. This is the story of several adventures as a spy and her journey towards becoming her own person. If you would like to see the files that I made for the seven team members, I am going to try to upload it.... idk how it's going to work. So, enjoy!
Love, Abbie :)
